Festival of Nine Lessons & Carols

St Peter Church, Danbury, CT – Sunday, Dec 9 at 3 PM

Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols.

The Festival of Lessons and Carols tells the story of the fall of humanity, the promise of the Messiah, and the birth of Jesus in nine short Bible readings from Genesis, the prophetic books and the Gospels.  Christmas Carols are interspersed between the readings. The congregation is invited to join in singing some of the more familiar Carols.  This year, our Adult Parish Choir will be joined by the Children’s Choir and our newly established Nelly Goletti Choristers.  There will be almost 50 choir members of all ages praising God for the gift of the Incarnation and our Redemption in Jesus Christ.  All are invited to this festive liturgy!  A punch and cookie reception will follow in the parish hall. – Glenn Segger, MusicMinister,  #Advent  #AdventCatholic

11th Annual Connecticut Catholic Men’s Conference

This year’s Conference is geared to build Christian camaraderie among the men who attend in order that they become more faithful fathers, husbands, brothers, sons and disciples.  This is accomplished through presentations and seminars, opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation and for Eucharistic Adoration, and a closing celebration of the Eucharist with clergy from throughout Connecticut.  All are invited!  Visit: https://ctcatholicmen.org/detailed-overview.

Morning of Reflection – Living Bread

The Living Bread is our August topic.  Scripture has been bringing us into this mystery through recent Gospel readings.  Since we can never exhaust the mystery of the Eucharist, we will be reflecting on this extraordinary gift.

Join spiritual director, Yvette Lessard, on Thursday morning, August 9th at 10 – 11:45 AM in the Parish hall of St Peter Church on Main Street in Danbury, CT.  All are invited to be with us.
